A day with both boys last week

Sleepy Hadden. He sleeps with a little mickey mouse blanket, so now when he’s tired, he’s taken to grabbing the dish towel that hangs on the oven handle and walking around with it like it’s a blankie. Hahah.

Choo choooo. They push this chair around the house like this, together. Super cute.

Asher practicing his stand-up. He can now stand up from a sit to walk around on his own. Total toddler.

But he still does the zombie walk.

A blurry one of me and the gents. This is very hard to do because if I set the camera down in front of us for a self-timered shot, all they want to do is get to the camera so they can push the button themselves. They don’t understand the concept of waiting for a pose.

Asher only still looks like a baby because he has no hair. Everyone thinks he’s an early walker! But he’s a year and a half now….. Haha.

Last week’s 100 degree weather was not good on people or pups.

It was good, however, for spontaneous day trips to Atlantic City to go to the beach. Apparently you can take a train there for 10 bucks, which just changed my summer. I went with four out of 5 of my future roommates, who I’ll be moving in with in one month.

We happened to be there the same day as a big music fest that Metallica was playing at? We counted, and on the train with us, were ELEVEN Metallica shirts. It was very bizarre.

Josh moved here from Grand Rapids, and Craig is about to move here from there too! Our household will be 50% Michigan folks.

and 66% straaaaaaightedge.

The first thing we did on the boardwalk was buy matching house tanktops because they were only 3 bucks each.

Cheesin.

We are not very festive beach goers….

Laura!

Laura had just dyed her hair that week and the salty water made it drip purple. Punk problems.

Red, white and blue. I used Josh’s knife to cut my shirt into a crop top because I had just been talking the day before about wanting to be bold enough to wear crop tops in public. No better place to start than on the boardwalk.

Cheesy boardwalk photos.

I hope Josh regrets making this face for my photo.

We tried to convince Laura to get a henna tattoo. They even had this perfect one for her! Laura is a Girls Rock Philly employee.

It was really the perfect day for the beach. Really sunny but also breezy, with big ol clouds.

I wish his shorts actually weren’t peekin out.

At one point, someone pointed out that Josh has a really good frown. We all tried to make actual frowns but none of us were really good. Hello, hilariously unflattering photos of myself.

I missed Bonnie’s frown attempt but I got this cutie shot.

Craig’s frown was more like a snarl.

Laura’s frown was actually a pout.

Josh knows how to frown.

Action shot.

We were missing our one housemate, Guy.

On the walk back to the train. LOLZ

Sunday, all I did was work on projects. But I did get to go out to a fancy dinner at Barbuzzo with my Dad’s Wife Sue (on the right), and her co-worker. It was really nice to catch up and get a chance to eat at one of my favorite (pricey) restaurants!
